Dear Kids,
Today was a significant day in the fight against this Coronavirus that is plaguing the world. It wasn’t a huge thing, but I did my part. I went into work today and got my second shot of the vaccine. One small jab for me, one giant shot at getting us back to normalcy. Hopefully, this will be it, and once we all have our vaccines, we’ll be free to move about the world again. I’m cautiously optimistic. Sadly, there are still too many people who believe the virus is a hoax or that the vaccine is worthless. It’s sad, but it’s true. I understand it to some extent. I mean, I get it that some think that the vaccine was produced too quickly, that this rDNA thing is a way to control people. But, I put my trust in science and facts, and the science and facts say that it will work…that it’s safe. I hope so. As I said, I put my trust in science, but many would say they’re putting their faith in science. Sometimes, I’m not really sure there’s a difference.
This is a shorter post, and all I can say is that , I hope you will follow the science and trust the research. I hope that you will see the larger picture and that you will be willing to help out the rest of humanity when called up. Getting the vaccine today wasn’t just for me; it was also to help everyone around the world get through this pandemic. I mean that very sincerely. I’m doing my small part. It’s like a puzzle; the picture won’t be complete if you’re missing a piece. In two more weeks I’ll be fully vaxxed, and I will be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
