Ima's Birthday

Ima’s Birthday

We don’t grow old. When we cease to grow, we become old.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Dear Kids,

Today was Ima’s birthday. We didn’t do anything wild and crazy, but we did what Ima wanted. Originally, she wanted to go to Baltimore and go to a museum or walk around the or take the Water Taxi around the harbor. But then she thought it might just be easier and less stress to stay in DC and explore. We looked into what was playing at the Kennedy Center‘s Millennium Stage, but tickets were sold out, and I think Ima really had her heart set on one of her favorite restaurants. So, in the end, we headed up to Baltimore this evening. We parked in Little Italy and tried to walk to the water, but the wind was blowing and it was cold. SBK didn’t have a jacket, and even though I did, I was still cold. Also, we were all very hungry, so in the end, we walked back to Amiccis and had a lovely dinner. After dinner, we walked across the street to Vacarro’s for dessert. We all had leftovers to take home except for SBE, who didn’t really like the cookies he got for dessert, so we ate them for him.

That’s all. Nothing extravagant…just a nice birthday celebration with Ima’s 4 favorite people.

Love,

Aba
